Danil Bornventure, Managing Director of FittGROUP, has won the 15th edition of the Al Ramdha Challenge, held at Al Marmoom Domes on 6 September. He crossed 150 meters of hot desert sand barefoot in 46 seconds, finishing 11 seconds ahead of the runner-up.
The challenge tests endurance, patience and courage, and draws on the resilience of the UAE’s ancestors, who adapted to a harsh desert environment.
An active athlete throughout the year, Danil takes part in sport, fitness and outdoor adventure events in the UAE, across the region and around the world.
“Walking on hot sand takes focus as much as fitness,” said Danil. “I am proud to win this milestone edition and hope it inspires more people to take on the challenge.”
